We as System Of A Down have just released new music for the first time in 15 years. The time to do this is now, as together, the four of us have something extremely important to say as a unified voice. These two songs, "Protect The Land" and "Genocidal Humanoidz" both speak of a dire and serious war being perpetrated upon our cultural homelands of Artsakh and Armenia.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN SOULS MISSION

Sevag Vrej directs a musical kaleidoscope documenting the four personalities that comprise the world-renowned rock band SYSTEM OF A DOWN. The 25-minute cinematic vignette follows the band on the eve of its benefit concert (SOULS 2004) in recognition of the Armenian Genocide, a cause that echoes back to the very essence of an event that shaped the band members as individuals and artists.

SOUL MISSION captures band members reflecting upon their music, politics, and persona, all while laughing and performing music. The interviews reveal the indomitable spirit and complex human emotions that inform and energize this high-impact rock act.

The band allows the camera access into its private and creative spaces in order to explore and underscore the universal call to tolerance and the absolution of injustice. From genocide to democracy, rage to horniness, backstage solitude to thousands of roaring fans, the film jolts viewers by alternating between rehearsals and interviews and culminating in the highly charged opening salvo of their live performance.

SCREAMERS MUSIC BY SYSTEM OF A DOWN

Added Czech subtitles!

Video is limited to age 18+

In 2006 System of a Down, the multi-platinum selling Armenian-American Nu-Metallers, financed a film called Screamers about the Armenian Genocide (according to the introduction given by the journalist and academic Samantha Powers, a 'Screamer' is an individual capable of fully processing the reality of genocide, and therefore compelled to do whatever they can to prevent it). Interspersed with concert footage from around the world are interviews with human rights activists, band members, academics and a selection of naïve but enthusiastic fans. They all seem to agree that killing lots of people is bad.
